Gerard & Eoin Ellison
Why I'm Participating

The boat at Cassan Sound pier is getting tied up for the May bank holiday weekend this year!

Gerard and Eoin Ellison, late comers to the "100 To Home" fundraising cycle are getting on their bicycles and no better men to take on this challenging cycling event.

Volunteers for the cycle weren't exactly pouring in, but true to Gerard's character, he never backs down from a challenge or when there's work to be done! Those associated with Naomh Ultan will know exactly how much Gerard contributes to the club, just as he does out in his boat everyday, Gerard shows up without fail, regardless of the weather conditions, ensuring the task gets done. The club is incredibly fortunate to have such a committed and reliable member like him!

In the weeks preceding the cycle, he's been incredibly busy with jobs and tasks like installing our new roadside fence, repairing nets in our ballstops, hanging up nets in the goals, and generously sponsoring new pitchside flags alongside his wife Kathy. These contributions ensure our facilities are top-notch for years to come, something the whole Ellison clan should take great pride in.

Gerard's second eldest son, Eoin, is a familiar face around the club, frequently lending a hand alongside his father. We're thrilled to have him join the event. While Barry's of Bruckless might miss him during the May bank holiday weekend, we'll ensure he returns safe and sound, ready to pick up where he left off.

Another familiar face will be partaking in the cycle along with Gerard and Eoin, possibly even someone from the same household! Gerard's daughter and Eoin's sister, Leanne is teaming up with her fellow "Point" woman, Amy Shovlin to conquer the "100 To Home" challenge. The Ellisons and the "Point" are very well-represented, that's for sure!

If Kathy, Seoirse, Donal, and Shay were just contemplating showing up to support Leanne, now they've got little choice other than to come out and cheer on Leanne, Gerard and Eoin!
