Why I'm Participating

The Reynolds brothers are trading in their boxing gloves and football boots for lycra and helmets. The rest of the participants may struggle to keep up with this duo, and there might even be a hint of competitiveness between them. Let's hope it doesn't result in the boxing gloves making a comeback!

Shane & Kieran found themselves emersed in sports from a young age, coming from a family of proud boxing tradition. All the boys of the busy household represented Naomh Ultan at underage level and in some capacity at adult level. No doubt, teams may have noticed the surname in the team sheets down through the years and been left wondering what have they gotten themselves into!

The men from Ballywogs are great assets of the club and always willing to help out, especially now with the next generations of the family coming through!
Kieran's son Caolan is an exciting young player and it is plain to be seen that he obtained his strength and speed from his dad!

Not all that far behind him in age is Shane's son Oran, who is currently part of the U14 & U16 teams in the club and definitely one for the future. Shane is manager of the U14 team at the moment and in recent years has found himself to be very useful manning the sidelines.
Eimear, not to be outdone by her older brother is as good as a player you'll see at her age, and there isn't many evenings where you won't see her at Páírc Naomh Ultan.

This dedication extends to her mother, Shane's wife Joanne, who has served as Bord Na nÓg secretary, juggling a multitude of responsibilities for a number of years now. Their collective commitment to the club is evident and we are so grateful to have them all involved!
