The term "character" is frequently used, yet few clubs can genuinely claim to possess someone as remarkable as our "Bomber".

He owes much of his character to his father, Aidan, a proud Kilcar native and an even prouder supporter of the GAA. Aidan, a distinguished footballer in his prime, not only excelled on the field but also served as the secretary of Naomh Ultan and held various other positions within the organization.

Known for his inspiring presence in the dressing room before matches or during halftime, his speeches were so impassioned that they could make you feel ready to burst through walls, let alone the dressing room door. In addition to his grá for all things GAA, Aidan's pride in Irish language, culture, and traditional music is unrivaled.

From the outset, our Bomber was primed for success and flourished as a young footballer, often alongside his elder brother, Aidan Jr. Throughout the late 90s, he faced off against formidable opponents in the highest grades, a fact he's quick to share with anyone who inquires.

As a young gun in the 2002 Reserve side, Bomber contributed to the historic Intermediate Championship double triumph. Shortly after, Bomber was headed to Mountjoy prison for a term, thankfully as a prison officer!

It was his musical talents that truly took flight from there, joining forces with Derek Warfield & the Young Wolfe Tones, Bomber embarked on a global tour, captivating audiences worldwide with his exceptional talents. Renowned as one of Ireland's best balladeers, he commanded stages with his energy and passion.

After relishing the adventures of life on the road, Kevin felt a pull toward his roots and returned home. Wasn't long until he found further success with Naomh Ultan, contributing to the Junior B Championship victories in 2011 and 2013. His achievements extended to Scór, where he proudly represented Irish language and culture, a commitment he maintains to this day.

Married to Lisa, a fellow devotee of Irish culture and music, together they spend their days nurturing their two energetic cubs, Michael Darragh and Seánie.
Bomber's wealth of knowledge in traditional Irish music is now shared with enthusiasts young and old across southwest Donegal through the O'Donnell School of Traditional Irish Music. Additionally, he imparts his football wisdom to the members of Naomh Ultan, though whether it proves beneficial remains a matter of debate.

As a devoted Gael, who once was a performer on stages worldwide, now graces the sidelines of Páirc Naomh Ultan, where he continues to captivate audiences with his energy and passion.
